Health and Development Push: PM Modi Launches Nationwide HPV Vaccination Drive, Unveils ₹17,000 Crore Projects in Ajmer

Ajmer, Rajasthan: In a landmark move blending public health advancement with large-scale infrastructure growth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign in Ajmer on Saturday. The initiative, aimed at protecting young girls from cervical cancer, marks a significant stride in preventive healthcare and women’s well-being across India.

During the event, the Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹17,000 crore, covering key sectors such as railways, highways, water supply, and urban infrastructure. Addressing a massive public gathering, he emphasised that empowering citizens through better healthcare and modern infrastructure is central to India’s growth story. Highlighting the twin focus on “Health and Development,” he stated that the HPV vaccination drive would save countless lives, while the newly launched projects would strengthen connectivity, create employment opportunities, and accelerate Rajasthan’s economic progress.
