Confident Group Founder C. J. Roy Dies by Suicide During ED Raid in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: In a shocking development, C. J. Roy, founder and owner of the Confident Group, died by suicide on Thursday while the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was conducting a raid at his office in Bengaluru, police officials confirmed.

The incident took place at the Confident Group’s office near Richmond Circle. During the course of the ED search, Roy allegedly shot himself. He was immediately taken to Narayana Hospital in HSR Layout, where doctors declared him dead despite emergency treatment.

Police teams reached the location soon after and have begun formal investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials said further details would emerge after procedural inquiries and statements are recorded.
