Kerala Set for Verdict: Election Results Likely by 11 AM Across 244 Counting Centres

After an intense and closely fought electoral battle, all eyes are now on the results. The counting of votes for the two-phase local body elections will be held on Saturday across 244 designated counting centres in the state. Most results are expected to be known before noon, with a clear picture likely to emerge by 11 AM.

At the block-level centres, votes for grama panchayats, block panchayats, district panchayats, municipalities, and corporations will be counted. Separate halls have been arranged for block panchayat returning officers to ensure smooth and systematic counting.

The process will begin with the counting of postal ballots.
Postal ballots for grama and block panchayats will be counted directly at the respective returning officers’ tables, while those for district panchayats will be counted at the Collectorate.

Before counting begins, officials will open the covers of all postal ballots received up to that moment and verify whether all required forms are enclosed. Postal ballots received after the stipulated deadline will be marked as late and kept aside without being counted.

With all preparations complete, the election machinery is set for a decisive day as Kerala waits for the people’s mandate to unfold.
