The Assam government on Thursday launched the application process for its flagship ‘Nijut Moina’ and ‘Nijut Babu’ financial assistance schemes aimed at supporting students across the state.Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma formally launched the distribution of application forms for the two stipend schemes at a function in Guwahati.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also announced financial assistance for schools affected by recent floods in eastern Assam. A total of ₹15.86 crore was transferred to 793 flood-affected schools in the districts of Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat and Golaghat.

The state government said the initiatives are intended to provide financial support to students while helping educational institutions recover from the impact of floods and ensure uninterrupted learning.
