India, US Special Forces Conduct Joint Counter-Terrorism Exercise ‘Tarkash’

Special Forces from India and the United States are participating in a joint counter-terrorism exercise aimed at strengthening operational cooperation and enhancing interoperability between the two countries.

The eighth edition of the bilateral exercise, ‘Tarkash’, is being held from July 13 to August 7, with commandos from India’s National Security Guard (NSG) and the United States Special Operations Forces (US SOF) taking part.

According to officials, the exercise focuses on improving joint operational capabilities, sharing best practices and enhancing coordination in counter-terrorism operations.

In a post on social media, the NSG said personnel from both countries demonstrated exceptional professionalism, adaptability and commitment to excellence throughout the exercise.

The exercise is part of the growing defence and security cooperation between India and the United States and is intended to strengthen preparedness in addressing evolving security challenges.
