4.7 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Hingoli District; No Casualties Reported

An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 struck parts of Hingoli district in Maharashtra’s Marathwada region on Saturday morning, with tremors also felt in neighbouring areas, officials said.

The tremors were experienced in parts of Nanded and Parbhani districts, causing concern among residents.

Authorities confirmed that there were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage. However, some structures in Pangra Shinde village in Hingoli district developed cracks following the tremors.

Hingoli Collector Rahul Gupta said that a few houses and community halls sustained minor damage, but the situation remains under control. Officials are monitoring the situation closely and assessing the extent of damage in affected areas.
