Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed officials to make weather warning systems in Uttar Pradesh more accurate, faster and people-centric.
Chairing a review meeting of the relief and disaster management department, the chief minister said timely and accurate information during natural disasters can help save many lives.
Adityanath instructed officials to ensure that weather forecasts and alerts effectively reach people at the grassroots level and are not confined only to technical systems.
He also stressed the need to strengthen the last-mile delivery of weather warnings across the state, according to an official statement.
