Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has raised serious concerns over the rising drug menace in Kerala, stating that the situation is spiraling out of control. She emphasized the urgent need for strict action and public awareness to curb the increasing drug abuse problem in the state.
Addressing a public gathering, Priyanka Gandhi urged the state government and law enforcement agencies to take stronger measures against drug trafficking and addiction. She highlighted that youths are falling prey to substance abuse at an alarming rate, posing a significant social challenge.
“We cannot stay silent while an entire generation is being destroyed by drugs,” she said, calling for a united effort from political leaders, civil society, and law enforcement agencies to tackle the crisis.
Her remarks come at a time when Kerala has witnessed a surge in drug-related crimes and substance abuse cases, prompting debates over the effectiveness of existing policies and enforcement mechanisms.
