Veteran film and television actor Ramakant Dayama, known for his roles in Chak De! India, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and Ram Setu, passed away after a prolonged illness. He was 71.
According to a family friend, Dayama had been unwell for several months, though the exact cause of death has not been disclosed. His last rites were performed on Tuesday.
A familiar face in the Indian entertainment industry, Dayama was widely admired for his versatile performances across films and television over the years. He earned appreciation for portraying a variety of supporting and character roles that left a lasting impression on audiences.
