Summer Rain in Kerala’s Southern Districts to Continue for 5 Days

Thiruvananthapuram: The summer rains in Kerala’s southern districts are expected to continue for the next five days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Light to moderate rainfall is likely in isolated areas of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, and Kottayam districts.

With scorching temperatures during the daytime, the showers are expected to bring some relief. However, northern districts will continue to experience intense heat, with weather experts warning of a possible heatwave.

Authorities have advised people to remain cautious, as extreme heat conditions can lead to sunstroke, dehydration, and other health issues. The State Disaster Management Authority has urged the public to avoid direct sun exposure between 11 AM and 3 PM and stay hydrated to prevent heat-related illnesses.
