Security forces arrested six militants belonging to various banned outfits during operations conducted across three districts of Manipur, police said on Tuesday.
According to a police statement, four members of the proscribed People’s Liberation Army were apprehended from the Nongada Chana area under Lamlai Police Station limits in Imphal East district on Monday.
Police said the militants had allegedly detained three youths for recruitment into the banned organisation. The youths were later rescued during the operation.
Further investigations are underway, officials said.
