Kerala is reeling under an intense heatwave, with several districts experiencing soaring temperatures. On February 15, 2025, Palakkad recorded the highest temperature in India at a scorching 38°C, while Punalur, Thrissur, and Kannur sizzled at 36°C each.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the combination of high temperatures and humidity is making conditions particularly unbearable. Residents are urged to take precautionary measures, including staying hydrated, avoiding direct sun exposure during peak hours, and keeping track of weather updates.
