In a special event, Modi hosted members of the Kapoor family, including Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Alia Bhatt, to commemorate the milestone occasion.
The celebration included reflections on Raj Kapoor’s timeless work and his role as a pioneer in blending cinematic art with social themes. The Kapoor family expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his warmth and support in recognizing Raj Kapoor’s legacy. The occasion will also be marked by the Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival, set to showcase 10 of his classic films in 40 cities and 135 cinemas from December 13-15, 2024.
