Prime Minister Modi Receives Crown Prince of Dubai During His First Official Visit to India


Prime Minister Narendra Modi today warmly welcomed His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), during the latter’s first official visit to India.

The meeting marked a significant step in further strengthening the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with discussions focused on expanding cooperation in key sectors such as trade, investment, defence, energy, education, technology, and people-to-people ties.

Prime Minister Modi expressed deep appreciation for the UAE’s continued support to the over 4.3 million Indians living and working in the UAE, acknowledging their crucial role in building stronger bilateral relations.

Sheikh Hamdan’s visit underscores the growing depth and mutual trust between India and the UAE. He was accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers, senior officials, and business leaders.

During his stay, Sheikh Hamdan is also scheduled to hold discussions with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and participate in a business roundtable in Mumbai, aimed at boosting commercial ties between the two nations.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to a shared vision for peace, prosperity, and progress, with the visit expected to further enhance collaboration across various strategic domains.
