New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm wishes to the people of Nagaland on the occasion of their Statehood Day. In his message, the Prime Minister lauded the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and contributions of Nagaland and its people to the nation’s development.
He expressed pride in Nagaland’s vibrant spirit and reaffirmed the central government’s commitment to the state’s progress and prosperity. The Prime Minister also praised the resilience and talent of the Naga community in various fields, including arts, sports, and public service.
Nagaland, which became the 16th state of India on December 1, 1963, celebrates its Statehood Day with cultural events, traditional performances, and ceremonies reflecting the state’s unique identity.
Several other national leaders, including the President and Union ministers, also extended their greetings, highlighting the state’s pivotal role in enriching India’s cultural diversity.
