Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended greetings on National Technology Day and said the 1998 Pokhran nuclear tests showcased India’s scientific excellence and determination.
National Technology Day is observed to commemorate the successful nuclear tests conducted by India at Pokhran Test Range on May 11, 1998.
In a message shared on X, Modi said the landmark achievement reflected the hard work and dedication of Indian scientists and marked a defining moment in the country’s technological journey.
The Prime Minister also noted that technology has emerged as a major pillar in building a self-reliant India and praised the contributions of the scientific community towards national development.
