PM Modi to Visit Sikkim for Statehood Celebrations, Launch ₹4,000 Crore Projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Sikkim on Monday for a two-day visit to participate in the 50th statehood anniversary celebrations and inaugurate development projects worth ₹4,000 crore.

According to officials, the Prime Minister will land in Gangtok around 3 PM and proceed for a roadshow from Libing helipad to Lok Bhawan shortly after his arrival.

He is also scheduled to attend the closing ceremony marking 50 years of Sikkim’s statehood during the visit.

Security has been tightened across the state capital and nearby areas in view of the high-profile visit, with elaborate arrangements put in place to ensure smooth conduct of the programme.
