Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Bastar in Chhattisgarh to celebrate Diwali with security personnel and honour their sacrifices and service to the nation.
In a post on social media platform X, Modi said he was heading to Bastar to spend the festival with the security forces and acknowledge their dedication and commitment to the country.
The Prime Minister also noted the region’s transformation, stating that an area once affected by Naxalism was now witnessing development.
He said the visit was intended to pay tribute to the security personnel for their sacrifices, selfless service and unwavering devotion to the nation.
