PM Modi Pays Tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur, Hailing His Sacrifice for Justice and Religious Freedom

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt homage to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on his Shaheedi Diwas (martyrdom day), honoring the Sikh Guru’s unparalleled courage and dedication to justice. In a message shared on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi praised Guru Tegh Bahadur’s sacrifice as a timeless act of defending religious freedom and humanity. He emphasized that the Guru’s teachings of unity, brotherhood, and selflessness remain a beacon of inspiration today.

Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, is revered for his resistance against tyranny during Mughal rule. His martyrdom is commemorated at sacred sites in Delhi, including Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib (his execution site) and Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib (his cremation site).
