PM Modi Meets Australian Opposition Leader Angus Taylor, Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Melbourne: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently on a three-day visit to Australia, met Australian Opposition Leader Angus Taylor on Thursay to discuss ways to further strengthen the India-Australia relationship.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the two leaders held productive discussions on the growing India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, reaffirming their commitment to enhancing cooperation across key sectors.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the meeting reflected the strong bipartisan support in Australia for deepening ties with India. He noted that the interaction was warm and cordial, underscoring the shared commitment to advancing the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Prime Minister Modi also shared details of the meeting on social media, highlighting the importance of continued engagement with Australia’s political leadership as both nations work to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
