Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently handed over keys to beneficiaries of the newly constructed Swabhiman Apartments in Delhi’s Ashok Vihar. This initiative, part of the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project, aims to provide better living conditions for residents of Jhuggi Jhopri (JJ) clusters.
During his interaction with the beneficiaries, PM Modi expressed immense satisfaction, stating, “Swabhimaan Apartments has given a new height to the dreams of my poor brothers and sisters in Delhi. It has also provided a new inspiration for the children here to move forward in life.”
The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring every citizen has a pucca house, highlighting that over 4 crore people have achieved this dream in the past decade.
He also announced plans for constructing nearly 3,000 new houses in Delhi, with thousands more to follow in the coming year. This reflects the government’s dedication to improving living standards and fostering inclusive urban development across the nation.
