New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Indian athletes and teams for their medal-winning performances at the Asian Games.
Modi congratulated Seema on winning the bronze medal in the women’s 10,000m event, saying her determined performance brought India a medal in the event after many years. He praised her endurance, discipline and years of hard work.
He also congratulated the Indian men’s badminton team for securing the bronze medal, noting their passion, hard work and fighting spirit throughout the competition.
The Prime Minister further congratulated Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Anantjeet Singh Naruka for winning bronze in the skeet mixed team event. Their medal marks India’s first-ever Asian Games medal in the event, he said.
Modi wished all the athletes continued success in their future competitions.
