Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian contingent for their outstanding achievement at the 10th Asia Pacific Deaf Games 2024 held in Kuala Lumpur. The Indian team delivered a stellar performance, securing a remarkable total of 55 medals, including 8 gold, 18 silver, and 29 bronze. This achievement marks India’s best-ever performance at the event, significantly improving from previous editions.
In his message, the Prime Minister praised the athletes, acknowledging the pride and motivation they brought to the nation. He highlighted their dedication and talent, which serve as an inspiration to sports enthusiasts across the country. The competition featured participation from 21 nations, with India finishing fifth overall. This success underscores the progress and growing prowess of India’s deaf sports community.
