The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has announced that partial power outages will be implemented across the state tonight due to increased electricity demand.
According to KSEB, electricity consumption has risen significantly following reduced rainfall caused by the El Niño phenomenon. At the same time, the availability of power through the national Power Exchange has declined as electricity demand has increased across the country.
In view of the growing power consumption in Kerala, KSEB has decided to impose temporary power restrictions. The partial outages are expected to begin after 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
