In a decisive outcome for the Maharashtra assembly elections, the NDA alliance, led by the BJP, is heading for a sweeping victory. The BJP, which contested 149 seats, is leading in 125 constituencies, showcasing its robust performance across the state.
The Mahayuti alliance, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), and other partners, is ahead in over 200 seats, cementing its dominance in the state. Meanwhile, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), including the Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, is trailing significantly with leads in only 60 constituencies.
This resounding performance by the NDA not only highlights its strong grassroots presence but also underscores the electorate’s preference for its leadership and policies. The BJP’s tally alone is more than double that of the combined INDIA alliance, marking a significant setback for the opposition in Maharashtra.
