Senior leaders of the NDA on Tuesday visited the revered Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati to offer prayers ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP-led government in Assam.
Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar and Rajya Sabha MP Praful Patel were among those who visited the temple.
Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to take oath as Assam Chief Minister for a second consecutive term.
Along with Sarma, four other MLAs — including two from the BJP and one each from alliance partners AGP and BPF — are also expected to be sworn in as ministers.
