Mumbai Shivers at 16.5°C: Coldest November Day in 8 Years

Mumbai: In a rare weather twist, Mumbai woke up to its coldest November day in eight years, with temperatures dipping to 16.5°C. The last time the city experienced such a chill was on November 11, 2016, when the mercury hit 16.3°C, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The cool spell is being attributed to clear skies and northerly winds, which allowed the city to experience an unusual nighttime cooling effect.

Mumbaikars welcomed the refreshing drop in temperature, with many reveling in the brief respite from the city’s typically warm and humid climate. Social media buzzed with posts celebrating the chilly morning, with residents embracing the rare sweater-worthy weather.

However, the IMD has hinted that this cool spell won’t last long, as temperatures are set to rise gradually in the coming days. While short-lived, this moment of meteorological magic gave the city a taste of winter it seldom enjoys.
