Modi and UAE President Reaffirm Stronger Strategic Ties Amid Rising Bilateral Trade

New Delhi: In a significant diplomatic exchange, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a telephonic conversation reaffirming their commitment to deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the United Arab Emirates.

The two leaders reviewed the impressive strides made across diverse sectors including economy, defence, technology, and cultural exchange, and agreed to further expand bilateral collaboration for mutual growth. President bin Zayed also extended warm congratulations to Modi for becoming India’s second longest-serving Prime Minister, praising his leadership and contributions.

The reaffirmation comes amid robust economic ties, with India-UAE non-oil trade hitting $65 billion in 2024, and projected to cross $100 billion by 2030 under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Both nations are strengthening cooperation in maritime security, joint manufacturing, fintech, renewable energy, and people-to-people connectivity, creating a dynamic roadmap for future engagement.

This renewed commitment underscores the growing strategic alignment and trust between the two countries, reinforcing their shared vision for regional stability, economic progress, and global leadership in the years ahead.
