Kerala Fed Up with LDF, UDF; Looking to BJP-NDA with Great Hope: PM Modi

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asserted that the people of Kerala are “fed up” with both the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the opposition United Democratic Front (UDF),and are now looking toward the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) with renewed hope. The Prime Minister made the remarks after hosting newly elected BJP panchayat, municipality and corporation representatives from across Kerala at his official residence in New Delhi. Highlighting the party’s recent gains in local body elections — including a landmark victory in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation — Modi described the results as a sign of shifting political sentiment in the state. PM urged party representatives to deepen their engagement with citizens, strengthen grassroots governance, and advance the agenda of “Ease of Living” through transparent administration and people-centric development initiatives, positioning the BJP-NDA as a credible alternative in Kerala’s traditionally bipolar political landscape.
