Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Visits Family of Pahalgam Terror Attack Victim in Kochi, Offers State’s Full Support

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan personally visited the grieving family of N Ramachandran, a 65-year-old Kochi native who lost his life in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The visit took place at the family’s home in Edappally, where the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt condolences and assured them of the state’s unwavering support.

During his visit, CM Vijayan spent time with Ramachandran’s wife Sheela, children Arathi and Aravind, grandchildren Dhrupad and Kedar, and their spouses Sharath and Vineetha. He praised the remarkable strength and resilience shown by Arathi in the wake of the tragedy and encouraged the family to stay strong.

Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal, CPM State Secretary M.V. Govindan, District Collector N.S.K. Umesh, Kochi City Police Commissioner Putta Vimaladitya, and DCP Ashwathi Jiji also accompanied the Chief Minister during the visit.

Ramachandran was one of the 26 civilians tragically killed in the brutal April 22 attack — one of the deadliest incidents in Jammu and Kashmir since the 2019 Pulwama attack. His last rites were held with full state honors on April 25 in Kochi.

The Chief Minister’s visit reaffirmed Kerala’s deep commitment to standing by the families of terror victims, offering them emotional and official support during such profoundly difficult times.
