
Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices in Kerala recorded a fresh increase on today reflecting the continuing upward trend in the bullion market.
The price of 22-carat gold (916 purity) rose to ₹14,260 per gram, with the rate for 8 grams (one sovereign) reaching ₹1,14,080. Meanwhile, 18-carat gold is priced at ₹11,715 per gram and ₹93,720 for 8 grams.
Silver prices remain at ₹270 per gram, with 8 grams costing ₹2,160.
Market sources indicate that gold prices have risen by ₹20 per gram compared to the previous rate. The steady increase is attributed to fluctuations in global markets and currency movements, which continue to influence domestic gold rates.
With prices maintaining an upward trajectory, consumers are closely watching the market, especially during the festive and wedding season.
