Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala is set to receive more showers under the influence of a low-pressure system, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) sounding a yellow alert for Kannur and Kasaragod today, cautioning of isolated heavy rainfall.
While the weakened system has reduced rain intensity over the past two days, the IMD forecasts intermittent showers across the state in the coming days.
Another low-pressure area is likely to develop over the Bay of Bengal around September 2–3, which could first bring rain to northern districts before spreading statewide.
