Former Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Delhi over frequent power cuts during the ongoing heatwave, alleging that residents are suffering while the administration remains inactive.
Kejriwal said people in the national capital are facing repeated electricity outages even as temperatures have touched nearly 45 degrees Celsius.
In a statement, the former Chief Minister claimed that during the tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party government, Delhi residents had “forgotten power cuts” because of improved electricity management.
He alleged that power supply is being disrupted at random intervals across the city, causing hardship to people amid extreme summer conditions. Kejriwal also said social media platforms were flooded with complaints from residents regarding the outages.
