Karnataka to Link 100 Engineering Colleges with Leading IT Firms Under New Initiative

The Karnataka government has unveiled the “Academia-Industry Super 100 Initiative”, a groundbreaking collaboration between 100 engineering colleges and 100 top IT companies. Announced by IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge, this initiative aims to train approximately 50,000 students in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, gaming, drones, and automation by March 2024, with potential to scale up further.

The Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) will partner with leading training providers to implement this program. This bold move is set to bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped to meet the demands of emerging technology sectors while boosting employability across the state.
