Iran Fires Missiles at Israel, Tensions Rise as Conflict Enters Third Week

Iran launched missile attacks on central Israel, killing two people and injuring several others, as the conflict with Israel and the United States continues to escalate. The attack targeted areas near Tel Aviv, including Ramat Gan. Reports say multiple-warhead missiles were used, causing damage to buildings and a train station.

Iran said the strike was in retaliation for the killing of its senior official Ali Larijani in an Israeli airstrike. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) described the attack as “revenge.” Iran also confirmed that funerals will be held for Larijani and Gholamreza Soleimani, head of the Basij force, who were killed in recent Israeli strikes.

Meanwhile, another round of missile attacks was reported on Wednesday morning. In Israel, concerns have been raised over the effectiveness of air-raid warnings after two elderly victims were unable to reach safety in time. In Iran, authorities executed a man accused of spying for Israel’s Mossad. Separately, Iran informed the International Atomic Energy Agency that a projectile hit the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, though no damage or injuries were reported. Iran said its leadership remains strong despite the loss of key officials.
