India, Kenya Discuss Stronger Parliamentary and Digital Cooperation

New Delhi: Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman C. P. Radhakrishnan met Kenyan National Assembly Speaker Moses M. Wetang’ula and a parliamentary delegation visiting India.

Radhakrishnan highlighted the close parliamentary ties between the two countries and offered India’s expertise in digital technology and paperless Parliament initiatives. He also discussed India’s development assistance to Kenya, including scholarships, capacity-building programmes and healthcare support.

The Vice President welcomed cooperation on the Digi-Locker pilot project and Gati Shakti initiative in Kenya. He thanked Kenya for supporting India’s candidature for the UN Security Council for 2028–29 and sought its support for India’s permanent membership.

Both sides expressed confidence that the visit would further strengthen bilateral and parliamentary relations.
