New Delhi: Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Wednesday said India was more than a geographical entity, describing it as a cultural nation shaped by thousands of years of continuity, knowledge, struggles and shared experiences.
Shekhawat was speaking at the launch of the book Timeless India: Protection & Revival of Indian Cultural Identity under the Leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Dharohar Bhawan, the headquarters of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
The event was organised jointly by the ASI and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).
The minister highlighted India’s long-standing cultural heritage and the historical experiences that have contributed to shaping its national identity.
The book has been published by the IGNCA and Subhi Publications and edited by former Rajya Sabha member Tarun Vijay.
It focuses on the protection and revival of India’s cultural identity under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
