Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday described herself as a “dimaagi Naxal” while reiterating her support for Article 370 of the Constitution, which had granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
“I support Article 370. I’m a dimaagi Naxal,” Mufti posted on her X handle.
Her remarks came in response to a post by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had not referred to opposition leaders as “dimaagi Naxal”.
Mufti’s statement comes amid a political debate over the use of the term “dimaagi Naxal” and the continuing political discourse surrounding the abrogation of Article 370.
