
Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices in the state have registered a fresh increase, continuing the upward trend seen in recent days. As per the latest market update on today, the price of 22-carat (916) gold has risen to ₹14,280 per gram, while a sovereign (8 grams) is now priced at ₹1,14,240.
Similarly, 18-carat gold is priced at ₹11,790 per gram, taking the rate for 8 grams to ₹94,320.
Silver prices have also witnessed a marginal increase, with the metal now priced at ₹275 per gram and ₹2,200 for 8 grams.
Market experts attribute the steady rise in gold and silver prices to fluctuations in the global market and currency variations, which continue to influence domestic rates.
