Gold prices in Kerala witnessed an increase on Monday, with the rate of 22-carat gold rising by ₹40 per gram.
According to market rates, the price of 22-carat (916) gold stands at ₹13,430 per gram, while the rate for 8 grams has reached ₹1,07,440.
The price of 18-carat gold is ₹11,090 per gram and ₹88,720 for 8 grams. Silver is being traded at ₹250 per gram and ₹2,000 for 8 grams.
Jewellery traders attributed the increase in gold prices to fluctuations in the international bullion market and changes in investor sentiment. Consumers and investors are closely monitoring market trends amid continued volatility in precious metal prices.
