The Election Commission of India has officially announced that the Delhi Assembly elections will take place on February 5, 2025, with results set to be declared on February 8, 2025.
Delhi’s Legislative Assembly comprises 70 constituencies, including 12 reserved seats, and polling will be conducted across 13,033 polling stations.
This election is expected to witness an intense battle between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Arvind Kejriwal, who aims for a third consecutive term, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Indian National Congress (INC).
With over 1.55 crore registered voters, including 2.08 lakh first-time voters aged between 18–19 years, the electoral stakes are high in the capital city.
The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has been enforced by the Election Commission to ensure a free, fair, and transparent election process, and all political parties are expected to strictly adhere to the guidelines.
As the political atmosphere heats up in Delhi, all eyes will be on February 5 to see which party secures the mandate of the people.
