New Delhi: CPI(M) State Secretary M V Govindan said here today that his party severed all its relations with the rebel Independent (LDF) M L A P V Anvar for his own hand-i-work.
He told pressmen here today that the Party was forced to take such a step as “he is an axe of the rightists”.
Anwar had severely criticized yesterday at Nilambur( Malappuram) CPI(M), the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan , Government and C M ‘s political secretary P Sasi and Police officers .
All the allegations made Anvar at Nilambur at a press conference yesterday were all baseless and hence they were all dismissed, Govindan said.
Anvar was acting as a sharp tool of the rightists with a view to debilitating CPM inKerala , he added.
No disciplinary action could be taken against Anvar as he was not a member of the party or any of its decision making bodies, he added.
Govindan said that the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan had not acted against
CPI(M)’s interest and its avowed policies.
Answering a query, Govindan said that Pinarayi Vijayan was not the party but only one of the seniors leaders of the party.
Govindan also called upon the party workers to come out open to protest against Anwar .
Immediately after Govindan’s exhortion in Delhi, a protest demonstration showing the strength of the party was held at Nilmbur, home turf of Anvar, stating the slogan “Do not play with (touching) the red flag.
A large number of people participated in the demonstration.
Later Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told the newsmen here that the allegations made by Anwar MLA yesterday at Nilmbur were against the CPI( M), Government, Chief Minister, LDF and the Governance of the State. They were all dismissed. Answering a query by a pressman, Chief minister said that it will have to make detailed clarification and it would be done later.
