The first anniversary of Upasana, an association of retired temple employees of the Cochin Devaswom Board, was held at Lakshmi Mandapam, Thekkemadham, Thrissur.
The meeting was inaugurated by Advocate Ravi Chankath, while Upasana President Kootambilly Vishnu Namboothiri presided over the function. Retired artists who had rendered distinguished service under the Devaswom Board were honoured on the occasion.
Dr. Vadakkumpattu Narayanan lit the ceremonial lamp, and Mala Mohanan attended as the chief guest. The event began with an Ashtapadi recital by Thiruvilwamala Harigovindan.
Upasana Secretary Padoor Madham Ramachandran, Kunnam Vijayan, Harikrishnan Nambisan and V. Sreenivasan also addressed the gathering.
