V D Satheesan has assured that the state government will seriously consider and address issues faced by senior journalists, including pension revision.
During a meeting with a delegation of the Senior Journalists Union Kerala (SJUK) on Monday afternoon, the chief minister said the memorandum submitted by the organisation would be examined in detail and a meeting of concerned officials would be convened soon.
Apart from pension enhancement, the delegation also raised issues related to pension arrears, half pension and dependent pension.
The delegation included state president S R Shakthidharan, working president K Janardanan Nair, general secretary V R Rajamohan, district president Rajendraprasad and secretary K P Rajasekharan Pillai.
