The government has decided to hand over the investigation into the death of former Kannur Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Naveen Babu to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Welcoming the decision, Naveen Babu’s wife, Manjusha, expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister for understanding the family’s demand and extending support in their pursuit of justice.
Naveen Babu’s brother, Praveen Babu, also thanked the government for issuing the order soon after assuming office. He said the family is hopeful that the CBI will conduct a fair and honest investigation into the case.
Praveen stated that he was pleased with the swift response to their representation and emphasized that he expects a scientific and comprehensive investigation by the CBI. He added that the probe must remain impartial, as it is the right of the victim and the family to receive justice.
He further stressed that any conspiracy, if involved in the death, should be uncovered through the investigation and that the truth must come out before the public.
