Political circles in Tamil Nadu were abuzz on Wednesday amid reports of possible discussions between long-time rivals Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) to prevent Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) from forming its first government in the state.
The speculation gained momentum hours after the Congress party extended support to TVK, potentially altering the post-poll political equations.
However, both the DMK and AIADMK have declined to comment on the reports, leaving the possibility of any such alliance unconfirmed.
The developments come amid a rapidly shifting political landscape following the election results in the state.
