Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah chaired the 93rd General Council meeting of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) at its headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday.
The meeting reviewed the corporation’s financial performance, expansion of cooperative-sector financing, development of multi-state cooperative societies and measures to strengthen rural livelihoods.
Amit Shah praised the NCDC’s performance over the past five years, highlighting increased loan sanctions and disbursements, improved profitability and zero net non-performing assets (NPAs).
He also welcomed the corporation’s presence across all states and Union Territories, including remote regions such as Ladakh and the northeastern states.
