New Delhi: On National Space Day 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered an inspiring address, celebrating India’s stellar rise in space exploration and unveiling an ambitious roadmap for the future — a journey that stretches “from Aryabhata to Gaganyaan.”
The Prime Minister highlighted how space technology has become integral to governance, aiding crop insurance, disaster management, fisheries, and infrastructure planning under the PM Gati Shakti Master Plan.
Modi hailed India’s growing list of achievements, from Chandrayaan-3’s successful Moon landing to astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla’s historic ISS mission, calling such milestones “a habit of New India.”
Looking ahead, Modi urged scientists to prepare for deep space exploration, powered by breakthroughs in semi-cryogenic engines and electric propulsion systems.
Modi also unveiled India’s vision of building its own space station under the Gaganyaan program, while encouraging young Indians to join the newly established astronaut pool, ensuring the nation’s space dreams soar higher than ever.
