New Delhi: Indian Railways has introduced a ‘Round Trip Package’ on a trial basis. Under this offer, passengers booking tickets for both onward and return journeys at the same time will receive a 20% discount on the base fare of the return ticket.
The scheme, effective from August 14, 2025, will benefit passengers who pre-book their return journey within a specified period while purchasing their onward ticket. The discount applies to return journeys booked through the ‘Connecting Journey’ feature on the Railways’ booking website for travel between November 17, 2025, and December 1, 2025. The onward journey must fall between October 13, 2025, and October 26, 2025.
To avail of the discount, both tickets must be booked under the same passenger’s name and confirmed. The scheme is exempt from ARP (Advance Reservation Period) rules, and the 20% concession is applicable only on the base fare of the return journey.
