New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited citizens to share their ideas, themes, and suggestions for his 12th consecutive Independence Day address from the Red Fort on August 15, 2025, as India prepares to mark its 79th Independence Day.
Taking to social media, the Prime Minister said, “As we approach this year’s Independence Day, I look forward to hearing from my fellow Indians! What themes or ideas would you like to see reflected in this year’s speech?” Citizens can submit their inputs through the MyGov platform or the NaMo App by August 12.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to making national celebrations more interactive and representative of the people’s voice. Select suggestions may find a place in the PM’s final speech, offering citizens a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the country’s most symbolic address of the year.
The address is expected to highlight key national issues, achievements, and a vision for India’s future, with public input helping shape its message and tone.
